Congratulations to our bjj crew who had a great day at the Newcastle Jiujiteiros comp, most of the team coming away with a medal, with a lot of good submission wins, stand out of the day was Shannon, winning all her matches in weight and open by sub and coming home with double gold. With a tally of 2x gold, 2x silver and 4x bronze - great effort with this being the first comp for most of our competitors and first BJJ comp for team Titan.
On June 3-5 we held a senior degree grading and seminars conducted by 8th degree ITF master Michael Muleta. Master Muleta travelled from Melbourne to run the senior degree grading and seminars over the weekend for all Titan members.
Congratulations to our newest Titan Martial Arts Taekwon-do black belts, it was a long hard day but they all did a fantastic job. Everyone had amazing technique, and absolutely smashed their sparring and board breaks!
A tale of hard work, sweat and dedication is written into the fabric of the four faded and fraying belts Michael Omay holds in his hands. The white, blue, purple and brown belts represent the 11 years he has committed to Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and the prize at the end? The black belt he now ties around his waist.
It was out of lockdown and straight into preparing for an international tournament for our students, sixteen taekwondo students from our classes, including Raymond Terrace, Nelson Bay, Minmi and Seaham, shone in the United ITF National Titles with all but two winning or placing in their events.
Congratulations to the students who entered the SNTI (IITA) Online World Champs 2020!
The event was amazing with lots of entries from all over the world including Australia, New Zealand, England, Germany, Greece, Malaysia, Norway, Russia, South Africa, and USA. All of Titan Martial Arts members who entered did extremely well - We had 3 competitors enter each placing in their events!
